Campfire Cocktail bar in London
Midnight apothecary review
The midnight apothecary is one alfresco cocktail bar visit I had been eagerly anticipating. Open throughout summer until early autumn. Midnight apothecary is the first of its kind in London.
I'd describe it as a campfire cocktail bar. Perfect for impressing your date in the evening.
I wanted to visit when the evenings were getting a little darker and more chilly. Luckily we just managed to book a slot on their last open night of the year. The day after guy fawkes.
Midnight apothecary is held at the brunel museum in an outdoor terrace in Rotherhithe. It's local to me. So we were able to enjoy a lovely sunset walk through the park to get there.
We checked in and sat at a cosy table for two beneath the stars. With just the twinkle of fairy lights to light up the terrace.
We ordered some vegan s'mores kits. Which included marshmallows. Chocolate and cookies to make the perfect s'mores sandwich.
Our hot cocktails kept us nice and warm. Along with our firepit for two. You don't even have to man your own fire. As friendly staff keep the fires going for you.
To drink I enjoyed two different hot toddys. Followed by a gourd infused cocktail. With ingredients freshly grown and picked in their own garden.
Across the road from the midnight apothecary is the river thames jubilee pathway. Where we finished our night with a riverside stroll. Taking in views of the fireworks.
I can't wait to go back to the midnight apothecary. This time on a warm summer evening and have drinks in the rooftop terrace. Followed by a complimentary tour of the tunnel at Brunel museum.
