A harbour hotel staycation
Chelsea Harbour Hotel
I enjoyed a Lastminute staycation in London this year on one of the hottest days of summer. It really felt like I'd been transported much further away. As the hotel is situated by a beautiful marina.
The hotel of choice was the Chelsea Harbour Hotel. A 5 star hotel in London. We stayed in a suite with our own balcony. Perfect for sunbathing in the morning after the incredible day before.
In the evening of our arrival, we enjoyed an excursion after riverside dining at the hotels alfresco restaurant.
Just minutes from the hotel is a ferry port. Here we boarded a ship to a beautiful shimmering bridge nearby. Along the way we enjoyed a beautiful sunset. With views of the city.
Albert Bridge was our stop off point. A stunning bridge that I've spoken about on this blog in the past. A couple were taking wedding photos during our time there, but it still wasn't overcrowded like many tourist locations are in London.
Our kids loved the excursion and seeing Albert Bridge for the first time. It was a low cost activity that is perfect during summer. We walked back along the Riverside to the hotel and enjoyed night time views of the wolf moon reflecting into the river below.
I highly recommend the Chelsea Harbour Hotel for those in or near London. Wishing they were in a more luxurious setting and a warmer climate.
