Vanity Fair EE Rising Star Party 2023

Believing in myself and knowing my worth

Something hopefully motivational for you all today. One of the highlights of my career so far came last night by chance.

I only went and gatecrashed the vanity fair Pre-Baftas party! How did it happen? I hear you gasp!

Well.. I was already in Battersea 'influencing'. I mean to say I was in the gorgeous. Newly renovated battersea area doing a number of press visits.

First stop was Searcys champagne bar. A stunning Rolls Royce popup champagne destination on the ground floor of the newly converted battersea Power Station.

Next I enjoyed the battersea Power Station lift excursion. Which I highly recommend. Then I was treated to a delicious. Wholesome dinner overlooking the river at Tapas Brindisa. 

After that I had a stroll of the battersea light festival, which is free to enjoy until March 5th.

Well it was a super busy night for me. As after all of this I was to head over to a cocktail bar for a cocktail masterclass - remember to subscribe for further details! 

As we made our way to the train station. I noticed camera men (paparazzi) waiting eagerly for somebody to get out of a vehicle. I took my phone out. Ready to capture the moment and just about caught the side profile of actress Sheila Atim. Who has been doing her thing recently - I absolutely loved the woman king. 

Calling over to my husband I said "let's go in there." It was a spontaneous grab the bull by the horns moment. I smiled at the lady holding a clipboard and pen by the entrance as she asked for my name.

Confidently I replied as she checked her list and asked if so and so had invited me. I replied "I'm not sure, I'm a blogger / influencer". To which she replied "okay, I'll just put you down" and in we went! 

At this point, I still had no idea where I was or what the occasion was. I soon realised though, that we were at one of the biggest and best parties of the year - and it's only February! 

The vanity fair EE rising stars after party. Complete with famous faces and two iconic Oscar statues at either end of the gorgeous Art'otel. A hotel so new and exclusive. It wasn't even fully open to the general public yet! 

The views and the interiors are so stunning here. With a free-flowing drinks. Including a Tattinger champagne fountain glass stack. Cocktails. Canapés and servers generously topping up your glasses before they're even empty! 

Had I known where I was going to end up last night. I would NOT have worn my statement silver boots again! I had been papped for the second time this week In them! See my tik tok to understand - 

A stage was set. With dj, live performances and even one of the top makeup artists in the industry was doing makeup during the party. 

I was sad I couldn't stay longer, but also just as elated that I ever attended. So I can't really complain! Before we headed off to our final stop for the night. I also managed to check out the stunning rooftop of the Battersea Art'otel. Which is the first Art'otel in London. 

A friendly face from the paparazzi was out front taking pictures of all of the important arrivals. We had recognised one another from two nights before on the red carpet at New Wimbledon Theatre. 

So I guess it's true what they say.. You can't always wait for opportunities to come knocking.
