Frolov Moloda Catwalk Show
Frolov Moloda Catwalk Show
Day 4 of London Fashion week 2023 began for me with a glamorous evening at the five star Bulgari hotel in Kensington. The occasion? A presentation for fashion brand Frolov.
What I wore |
The Ukrainian clothing label have teamed up with London Fashion Week to showcase their spring summer 2024 collection in support of Ukraine.
I enjoyed a complimentary glass of champagne in the lounge, where Laura Whitmore - former Love Island TV presenter played host dressed in a stunning V-neck firework dress by Frolov.

We were escorted to a luxury cinema room in the Bulgari hotel for the Moldova catwalk show. The show began with vintage black and white music videos played to the audience. To which models catwalked out in front of the screen.
Frolov's Spring 2024 collection titled moloda Ukrainian for young girl embodies the feeling of youthfulness and freedom. Inspired by the metamorphosis of blossoming. Creative director of The Brand Ivan frolov translated these sentiments into his newest collection.
This season Frolov has Incorporated the concept of sculpture-like silhouettes decorated with roses into the looks from moloda. The sculptures and Roses take inspiration from Ukrainian artists zhanna kadyrova.
In addition to this the collection features black and white silk robe dresses with frolov signature hearts incorporated in the form of an ultrasound.
Within the collection the brands iconic symbol of the heart insensifies the love Ivan has for his home Kyiv. Where although it is easy to get lost in the sentiments, the city is still fresh and blooming. A further note of an homage to the Ukrainian capital is also found in the Golden lace detailing, where chestnuts - a symbolic tree of Kyiv are reflected in the Lace.
A handmade mirror in the form of a heart is utilized by Frolov, as an element of strength in the couture collection. The mirrors made for the collection are hallmarked by a return to the traditional method of crafting mirrors through polishing, enhancing its strength. The heart is worn as an accessory with the intention to never break.
The spring 2024 collection also includes perennial bestsellers: corsets and corset dresses embellished with Swarovski crystals which the brand has specially designed by Crystal Masters.
The work on the collection as well as the show are accompanied by songs from the Ukrainian variety music scene of the 70's "A red rose" and "Chestnuts are falling" by Yulia Pashkovska. "My Love" by Lina Prohorova; "Fog in the Valley" by Mykola Kondratiuk.
They all convey the spirit of the collection - youthfullness, playfulness, inspiration and freedom. The fashion show is supported by the USAID competitive economy program.
Other songs included in the catwalk show were "Aphrodite's Sadness" by Bohdan Yanivskyy. "Song is meant to stay with us" by Volodymyr Ivasyuk and "Oh Honey" by Lina Prokhorova.
Hand-embroidered masks in Frolov Moloda collection symbolises freedom to be yourself and hide yourself when needed.
My Verdict
Frolov might possibly have been my best catwalk show of the season. I loved everything, from the luxurious location of the Bulgari hotel. To the comfort of the cinema room where we sat throughout the show.
There was an element of surprise when the models first began to strut out in front of the cinema screen. One by one models took to the runway. The choreography was superb. The models didn't all just catwalk in a normal fashion. Some took a drunken stumble here and there and one model twirled past the big screen.
The generosity of Frolov to gift all guests one of their show-stopping mirror heart necklace accessories was the icing on the cake. I had been eyeing their stunning jewellery throughout the show so it was such a treat to receive a necklace. I just need the earrings to match!
The mirror heart necklace was the perfect finishing touch to my outfit for the next day - day four of London fashion week!
Street Style
Guests that dressed to impress included an attendee in a stylish red suit featuring glittering detail down the seams.
Other standout looks included guests adorned in Frolov. With a pretty pink dress featuring the brands iconic heart motiv as a cut out shape at the center. One guest also wore the embellished ID bra from the Frolov "Song to song" collection.
The Frolov ID bra features an impressive pair of sparkling embroidered eyes with long tassels.
What I Wore
I wore a black cut out mini dress in a ridged material that gives off a lovely sheen. The dress alone is a standout item, however I amplified the look by adding some matching black lip gloss. Plus a pop of colour in the form of neon green clips to my hair and a touch of neon green eye makeup.
