As you probably know, green tea is good for you in so many ways. It's a fat burner, detoxifying plus it's an energy booster. Kinda makes the dessert a bit more guilt free!
Bone Daddies Shackfuyu Korean Small Plates
The first thing that caught my attention about Bone Daddies Shackfuyu was the unique name of the restaurant, plus Bone Daddies Shackfuyu french toast, which is amazing looking.
Naturally I wanted to try out Bone Daddies Shackfuyu french toast for myself.
Never have I had french toast for dessert. The kinako french toast by Bone Daddies Shackfuyu doesn't look like the average piece of french toast - unless I'm out of the loop.
I'm starting this review backwards by going straight to dessert. It is the best feature at Bone Daddies Shackfuyu after all! The kinako french toast with green tea soft serve ice cream comes served on a pretty blue plate.
Bone Daddies Shackfuyu dessert is a decent size. The kinako french toast is nice and thick, with a buttery sweet taste. It's perfectly done. As is Bone Daddies Shackfuyu green tea soft serve ice cream. I'd never had green tea ice cream before, so this was another first as far as dessert was concerned.
Bone Daddies Shackfuyu soft serve ice cream really is soft. I'm not always much of an ice cream for dessert fan. Regular ice cream tends to be far too cold at times, and often not smooth enough thanks to little crunchy flakes of ice. However, soft serve ice cream is not like that.
Green tea soft serve ice cream at Bone Daddies Shackfuyu tastes like good ice cream from an ice cream van. It's totally smooth, not too cold or sickly sweet. Green tea actually adds a pleasantly interesting taste, without being too overpowering.

Now let's rewind and discuss the venue and main courses that my husband and I shared. We arrived at Bone Daddies Shackfuyu pretty late - around 10pm. It's a casual restaurant and really buzzing even at night.
All tables were filled, with walk ins eagerly waiting for an opening. It can get pretty loud in there and it's quite dark, but I like dim settings so that's fine by me. The tables at Bone Daddies Shackfuyu are tiny and closely stacked together. Main portions are equally just as tiny! Very flavoursome but tiny.
My favourite dish at Bone Daddies Shackfuyu are the sticky Korean fried wings - aside from the infamous dessert of kinako french toast, with green tea soft serve ice cream of course! So nice are the Korean fried wings at Bone Daddies Shackfuyu that we ordered a second portion.
The fried potatoes with Japanese curry sauce are pretty good too. The duck breast with pepper and orange ponzu wasn't all that. You'd better book a table for Bone Daddies Shackfuyu, unless you're just popping in for their infamous french toast. We also indulged in some prawn toast, which was a lot different to traditional prawn toast as we know it.
The bao was a super soft miniature bun filled with chicken. Small but delicious.
Would I go back to Bone Daddies Shackfuyu? Yes - but only for dessert, as there dishes are a bit tiny for the price.
