At the beauty show live, I was also able to book a hair appointment with melanin hair care, where I was introduced to their products for the first time. With a live application of their oil and leave-in conditioner. Some of my favourite brands were also demonstrated at the show. I currently use innersense on my hair. Having been introduced to them through a PR company. Magazine company - warpaint were offering complimentary makeup touch-ups throughout the day to all visitors, which was really nice of them. Live talks were held on the stages at either end of the centre. Up on the second floor is where any booked treatments were able to be enjoyed in a more peaceful, intimate setting.

She led MAC to become the world’s biggest make-up brand, spearheading the legendary MAC AIDS Fund and Viva Glam initiatives, realising that beauty could create broader social awareness and change. After moving back to the UK, went on to become CEO of St Tropez (pioneering their Princes Trust collaboration) CEO of PZ Cussons Beauty Division, before taking a career sabbatical. Michelle is now back with Floral Street, a modern British fragrance brand with sustainability and eco-responsibility at its very core.
“My mission is to bring fine fragrance to the modern woman – so that she might build an entire fragrance wardrobe which can express the many facets of who she is. Since the age of three, when I first smelt the gardenias in my great grandmother’s cottage in Ireland, I’ve been captivated by the power of scent and how it links to your personality.
I find urban, British women so inspiring: they are strong, confident and inquisitive, so I decided that Floral Street would be a collection of incredible fragrances built with them in mind and created by one of the best noses in the world. And, it was important to me that it should be accessible and affordable, too.I think of Floral Street as an ‘up-start’ brand. Yes, we’re a start-up, but we’re also doing everything differently, from making recyclability and sustainability the core of our brand, a first in fragrance. I’m also against the use of using sexuality to sell scents – it’s degrading and old fashioned- we want to change the conversation around that.”

About BDK Parfums
Founder David Benedek was immersed in the world of perfumery from an early age. His grandparents, exiles from Transylvania, were pioneers in the Parisian perfume industry. Being among the first to distribute prestigious brands like Worth and Christian Dior in the 1950s. They eventually specialized in selling perfumes and luxury goods to foreign visitors in Paris, opening their first boutique in the 1960s at the corner of Rue Royale and Rue Saint-Honoré.
The family's expertise in perfumes was passed down from generation to generation. David studied economics and then moved to Beijing and New York in 2010 for further education. Upon returning to Paris, he joined the Institut Français de la Mode in 2012, focusing on the perfume and cosmetics industry. For over a year, he trained to identify the main raw materials, olfactory families, and their nuances, honing his skills in fragrance creation. Working with the Givaudan teams, David deepened his understanding of the subtleties of perfumery.
His passion gradually turned into a vocation, leading him to continue his training at the Cinquième Sens Institute. This experience helped him refine his olfactory universe, laying the foundation for the BDK Parfums perfume house.
