Lebanese restaurants London

Grilandia - Lebanese Restaurant

There is a sudden surge of Lebanese restaurants popping up around London at the moment. The newest of these is Grilandia. Situated in four London locations, with it's stunning upscale design to include hanging plants. A bar, cozy booths and outdoor seating.

Maya Lounge

You'll escape the city for an exciting, otherworldly dinner inside this spacious, cave style restaurant. Delicious food and drink options are accompanied by live entertainment from a belly dancer and DJ sets. I had so much fun here and highly recommended Maya lounge for a special occasion. Date night, it simply weekend fun.

Em Sherif

Em Sherif is a female-led, fine dining Lebanese restaurant on the second floor of Harrods. This classy establishment is listed by The World’s 50 Best Restaurants as one of the top female-led restaurants to watch. Em Sherif captured the hearts (and stomachs) of Beirut in 2011 with its first restaurant. Founded by the chef patron Mireille Hayek who says “Lebanese cuisine by nature is casual. And over the years we upscaled it to keep it traditional yet trendy.”

Guests will enjoy delights like fattouch. Zaatar manoush. Lentil soujouk with spicy sausage. Sesame-studded falafels and succulent grilled meats. It's a menu prepared by Mirielle's daughter - who trained at Paul Bocuse in France.

There are also daily specials and desserts include a  signature rice pudding. Infused with orange blossom and rose water. Topped with caramelised puffed rice and pistachio powder.

The restaurant itself is a stunning shade of blue and white hand painted tiles. To match the cutlery.

Kenza

Kenza - a Lebanese restaurant in east central, is just three minutes walking distance from Liverpool Street station. Founded by Tony Kitous, Kenza serves authentic, home-style Lebanese and Middle-eastern cuisine - like lamb and artichoke tangine. As well as vegetarian and vegan dishes like batata harra.

Chamisse

Chamisse restaurant located between Kings cross and chancery lane serves traditional Lebanese, mezes and baklawa desserts at their casual, relaxed dining room. They must be doing something right as they have the highest rating on Google of all Lebanese restaurants (correct at the time of this article).

Aline Lebanese Kitchen

At Aline Lebanese Kitchen - Small plates, flatbreads and grill items are served in a modern take on everyday Lebanese comfort food. Prepared using responsibly sourced ingredients. You'll find Aline in the heart of Mayfair.

Ishbilia

Ishbilia is a fine dining restaurant with the largest Lebanese menu of all London restaurants! Choose from over 100 dishes! You'll be spoilt for choice with hot or cold mezze. Like Fatoush - a mixed salad with sumac, mint and toasted Lebanese bread in a pomegranate vinaigrette dressing. Or Makdous - Baby aubergines stuffed with walnuts, herbs and garlic, marinated in olive oil and lemon. With a mouth-watering variety of Main dishes and daily specials to ensue.

I like the sound of Fatteh Lahme from the Al-Fattat section of the menu. For this dish, Lamb Medallions are prepared in a sesame and yoghurt sauce, chick peas and toasted Lebanese bread. Topped with a drizzle of fried ghee and garnished with pomegranate seeds, mixed nuts and parsley.
