On the 7th of November from 4pm til 8, Djs played in stores and free drinks flowed as the 'Into the Light' immersive light installation was showcased at 6pm.
West End
Festive lights in the West End have been switched on, spanning throughout the area. They were first introduced two years ago and have quickly gained popularity.
You can admire them in St Martin’s Lane, Leicester Square, Piccadilly, Coventry Street, and Cranbourn, Irving & Bear Street.
Old Spitalfields Market
Lights at Old Spitalfields market switched on at 6pm on the 13th November. The event included
Music from a gospel choir, free face painting and Christmas craft activities for kids. Plus mulled wine, mince pies, and street food.
King's Cross
The Christmas lights for this year feature a variety of exciting installations throughout the city. These include a festive art display in Granary Square.
A traditional 50-foot tree in Coal Drops Yard, and the reappearance of Liliane Lijn's 'Temenos' installation in Lewis Cubitt Square.

I attended the 2024 Leadenhall Market Christmas lights switch on event today, which was busy and kicked off at 5.30pm with a live band. Followed by the switching on of the lights by the Lord Mayor of London. Complete with giant sparklers which went off on either side of the Christmas tree.

This evening, Ralph Lauren unveiled a five-metre-tall Nordmann fir tree at their flagship store. In support of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity the tree can be found at 1 New Bond Street.
After eight years of the infamous peacock light display, bond Street are also unveiling a new design. Inspired by the beauty of the crown jewels.
Savile Row
This Christmas lights exhibit takes inspiration from a staple item found in every tailor’s workshop: the trusty pair of shears.
Beginning November 14, large golden shears will be suspended in the air, appearing as though they are mid-snip through a dazzling stream of light, mimicking a swath of fabric. This whimsical display will span Clifford Street to Burlington Gardens.
The Shard
The Shard will be bringing to life the nation’s favourite Christmas carol by illuminating the capital with a festive light display from its iconic Spire, inspired by the much-loved Christmas songs.
A six-person choir sing We Wish You a Merry Christmas from the building’s exposed spire, 78 floors up and 867 feet above sea level. This marks what is believed to be the highest carol recital ever performed on a building.

From 11:00 a.m. To 4:00 p.m. visitors can meet father Christmas, his elves and reindeer plus the snowman from sadler's Wells.
